The Simpsons Forever, the first and only website devoted entirely to The Simpsons animation artwork, was created by Tino Persico. In its' initial form, the website was called "Datoupee's Simpsons Cel Collection and Information" and originally hit the web in 1999 as a way to display Tino's cel collection online.
The site quickly had many fans emailing in with questions about how they too could get into collecting Simpsons animation cels. At the time, purchasing original animation art was a bit of a mystery to the public. Simpsons cels in particlular are only made available to purchase through legitimate animation art galleries authorized by 20th Century Fox. These galleries were not marketed very well outside of their local communities and their selection was limited to mail order catalogs which went out to a small group of collectors. Many people didn't even know that these galleries existed. Due to popular demand, we added informational sections into the website with all of the research, gallery listings and other insights we had gathered over the years about collecting Simpsons animation cels.
In 2005, the website became "The Simpsons Animation Cel Information Station" with even more great cel information and tips available for Simpsons fans as well as a gallery where cel collectors could share images of their cels with our viewers. Over the years, this version of the website served up millions of page views to fans around the world and provided the internet with the definitive resource to collecting Simpsons cels.
Since 2016, we are now known as "The Simpsons Forever". This newest version of the website is the best one yet! We have assembled an in-depth guide to help fans learn about original production cels from the show, explore episodes created with cels, find links to the best galleries for purchasing cels, and display cels owned by collectors.
In addition to our regular content, we have created The Simpsons Cel Database as a way for enthusiasts to keep track of every authorized production cel that was ever officially released from each episode.
